Fernanda Marinho is planning a workshop at Bibliotheca Hertziana in Rome, 13th December 2024.

Guest Lecture in Eichstätt

Jobst Welge will give an invited lecture at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt on 11th December 2024. The title of his presentation is "Reconsidering Concretism in Poetry and Art: (Arrested) Developments in Mid-Twentieth Century Brazil" and it includes a part on Lina Bo Bardi.

Network-Meeting

The next meeting of our network will be in Leipzig, from 4th to 5th October 2024. We are happy to have Prof. Dr. Michael Gamper and Dr. Katharina Müller as guest speakers.

Fernanda Marinho is participating at the Studies in the Arts of the United States and its Connections: Migration in the Visual Arts: Exchanges between Italy and the Americas at Contemporary Art Museum of the University of São Paulo (MAC USP), supported by Terra Foundation (07-14 May 2024), with a seminar titled: "Contemporary Clashes: Fascist Legacies, Migration, and Indigenous Material Culture".

Janek Scholz is participating at the international conference "In Sprachen wiedergeboren. Autobiographien und transkulturelle Begegnungen" at Graz University (24-27 April 2024) with a talk titled: Transkulturelle Identität und sprachliche Aushandlungsprozesse in den Texten des brasilianisch-italienischen Autors Júlio Monteiro Martins.
