Project for the Network
The project proposes to investigate cultural and artistic contacts between Brazil and Italy based on the Antonio Jannuzzi & Cia. company, which was active in Rio de Janeiro between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. Based on the company’s practical and theoretical contribution, themes such as the training of skilled labour (workers associated with immigration), the use of imported construction techniques and their influence on the history of Brazilian architecture will be researched.
