Project for the Network
Eduardo Jorge's project is focused on Ezra Pound and the Brazilian Concrete Poetry, more specifically the troubadours translations in combination with the Brazilian avant-garde Noigandres. The provisional title is “Un paradiso tutto spezzato: Noigandres and the experience of the tradition’s transmission by a Brazilian avant-garde”. The main goal of the working hypothesis is to show that the case of the Noigandres group and the Brazilian Concretism were fundamental topics regarding the transmission of the radical elements of the literary and artistic canons in Brazilian modernity. In a nutshell, the German-Italian-Brazilian connection will be based on Pound’s readings of Frobenius and the concept of Kulturträger and cultural morphology within Poetry.
